GNWT Employee Information

As our Government continues to mobilize to support the response to COVID-19 in in the Northwest Territories, there may be several areas where additional support from regional offices and headquarters is required. Main functions include community liaison; essential services continuity; on the ground logistics; and shelter/isolation supports. 

As duty travel to another community may be required, individuals should be prepared to bring in meals for the length of their short term deployment as meal service may be unreliable in the event of a community outbreak; per diem and incidental support as aligned to duty travel will apply.

Once you have completed the online form identifying yourself as interested in reassignment, a representative from the Department of Finance will reach out to your manager/supervisor to ensure that you are a non-essential position and you are available to be reassigned. Once this is confirmed and a reassignment opportunity has been identified for you the Department of Finance will reach out to you to finalize the formal tools required to complete a reassignment
