The Department of Finance will be hosting a complimentary one-hour live webinar to provide information on the AbilitiCBT programs for Indigenous Peoples. The LifeWorks AbilitiCBT team will lead the webinar, which will focus on the New Dawn program.
The New Dawn programs combine Indigenous cultural and healing practices with core Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) strategies to support better mental well-being.
Participants can access content through voice-overs or reading and are paired with a therapist to provide support.
The programs center around the Medicine Wheel and the Seven Sacred Teachings to promote balance and well-being. The package includes Calm Water and Sun Rise programs for anxiety and depression, as well as general anxiety and depression programs supported by an Indigenous therapist.
The goal is to meet participants where they are on their healing journey and offer them a choice in determining which program best suits their needs, while walking alongside them with an Indigenous therapist.
Please join us on Thursday, March 30th at 10am MST for a live webinar with the LifeWorks AbilitiCBT team to learn about A New Dawn, A New Light.
All GNWT employees are invited to attend. All AbilitiCBT programs are free to employees and their dependents.
