The GNWT recognizes that health and wellness impacts employees at work and in their personal lives, therefore promotes and encourages wellness, safety and respect within the public service in order to improve morale, employee engagement, and productivity.
GNWT Wellness Resources
- Employee & Family Assistance Program (EFAP) is a confidential, voluntary counselling and referral service available to GNWT employees and their dependants. The program is designed to help with personal or work-related issues before they become more serious. Click here to learn more about EFAP and how to access its services.
- LifeSpeak is a 24/7, total well-being platform where GNWT employees and their families can access expert information on a wide range of topics when and where they need--completely confidentially. You can access LifeSpeak by entering using the password "gnwt".
- The Working Mind is an education-based program designed to address and promote mental health and reduce the stigma of mental illness in a workplace setting. Endorsed by the Mental Health Commission of Canada, the program is available to GNWT employees in 4-hour or 8-hour formats. Sessions are currently scheduled through Feb 2020.
