Lesson 1: When can I use coaching?

If you pay attention to the way you interact with your employees, you’ll find that there are many opportunities to use a coaching approach, more formally as part of the performance development process, and informally, in everyday interactions.

Coaching does not have to follow a strict set of guidelines or rules, or be applied to pre-determined circumstances, like a performance review. What is important is that you set a goal of building others’ self-belief, competence and performance.
