Lesson 3: What is self-awareness?

If you say to your employee, “you made your co-worker feel bad in the meeting today,” they feel criticized and do not grow in self-awareness.

If you say, “did you notice what happened after you spoke in the meeting today?” they have an opportunity to reflect on how their actions impact others.

If you follow with, “how do you think your coworker was feeling?” you are helping them develop self-awareness.
