- The player is compelled to be attentive to the ball.
- The player will have to focus more than usual to answer the question, providing a higher degree of awareness and responsibility.
- The answers sought are descriptive, not judgmental, so there is no risk of self-criticism or damage to self-esteem.
- A feedback loop is created between the coach, who is able to provide specific feedback that encourages the player to be aware of the problem and take corrective action.
