Definition

Innovation and Change is supporting and encouraging new ideas and approaches to enhance performance and results. It is embracing change, taking intelligent risks, and helping others to engage in the change process.

Behavioural Scales

Level 1

  • Is open to new and diverse ideas.
  • Questions or challenges the way things have always been done.
  • Suggests ways to improve the effectiveness of a current task. 

Level 2

  • Continuously seeks better ways to get the job done.
  • Implements ideas for continuous improvement within own area.
  • Adapts readily to change
  • Generates ideas and can identify a new approach to a task or job. 

Level 3

  • Introduces new ideas and approaches to the team.
  • Generates ideas and can identify best approach to a process or system. (Evaluates strengths and weaknesses)
  • Proactively shares information and resources across areas.
  • Assists others in adapting to change.

  • Develops new approaches and takes calculated risks in trying something new.
  • Fosters a climate in which others feel safe to contribute their suggestions.
