  3. I had worked for the GNWT for almost 5 years when I resigned. After 18 months I went back to work for GNWT in exactly the same position I had resigned from previously. Will I have to start over at the bottom of the pay scale in my old position?

I had worked for the GNWT for almost 5 years when I resigned. After 18 months I went back to work for GNWT in exactly the same position I had resigned from previously. Will I have to start over at the bottom of the pay scale in my old position?

An employee, except a casual employee, who is rehired within two years of his/her last date of employment with the Employer to perform the same duties shall be paid at the same step as he/she was being paid at when he/she ceased to be an employee.
