There are several reasons why HR will need an updated address for you.
- After your termination, once your clearance from the GNWT has been completed, we will forward your final pay to you.
- In some cases, you may be entitled to receive a refund of pension contributions, either by cheque or a rollover to an RRSP. We need to be able to inform you of your options.
- Finally, you'll want to receive your T-4 statement on time so you can file your income tax.
Your mail will be sent to the last address we have on file for you. If you are no longer at that address and have not provided forwarding instructions, the mail will be returned to HR and filed. Even if you don't have a permanent new address your mail can be forwarded to, it's important to provide an address. This could be the address of a friend of family member you can rely on to forward your mail to you until you have settled.
