This means that the employee needs to be generated; this happens for a number of reasons, such as when they are first entered, or when they are added to a new bid line.
I've added a new shift, given my employee's permission, but it isn't an option when I try to assign the shift. What do I do?
Once a shift is added and permission given, you need to 'demand' the shift; this is covered in the UPK Manual, under "Bid Line Maintenance - Period Demand".
