School Year (UNW - Education Council Employees)

For employees that work around the School Year (September to June), the Performance Development Annual Cycle should be adjusted to be completed prior to the end of the School Year.

When should the documents be started?

Performance Documents should be started in September – this includes setting of Objectives and Learning Plans.

When should the documents be completed?

Performance Documents should be expedited to completion prior to the employees’ departure at the end of the School Year. Please note that the deadlines in ePerformance are set out for those following the fiscal year, school year employees can be disregard the dates in ePerformance and follow the timelines provided below.

What should be done throughout the school year?

  • September 1-30: Establish Evaluation Criteria (Enter Objectives and Learning Goals).
  • January 1-30: Mid-Year Checkpoint.
  • May 1-15: Finalize Criteria (Last changes to Objectives and Learning Goals, as required).
  • May 15-June 15: Employee and Manager Evaluations, Review Meeting, Acknowledgement, Submit for Approval.
  • June 15-June 30: Review Officer Approval.
